Where Do We Go From Here?

I suppose the greatest question any human can ask is: What happens when we leave this life? What is death and what comes after? Where do we go from here?

Death is for many of us our greatest fear. Why do we fear death from our childhood through each chapter of our lives and on into old age? Perhaps its because so many see it as an ending. An ending of US. A cessation of who and what we are. Oblivion, lights out - its over! My atheist friends believe that this is exactly what death is.

Perhaps it works for them, but as for me, I would hate to count the days and hours until certain oblivion. It would make life terribly futile and rather pointless to me. It would make me quite angry if I believed that I was given the gift of consciousness for the cosmic blink of an eye, only to then have it snatched away just as I am getting good at this thing called life. That would make the Creator a Cosmic Trickster and that would be worse than no God at all. Yet, millions, perhaps billions feel just this way.

Let me share another view of death with you, my dear friends around the globe. I believe that the soul, the spirit is eternal. I believe that the essence of who we are is an expression of the Most High God and exists as the Indwelling God, which is one and the same. I believe that like God, our soul has existed forever and will exist forever more. I believe that we are to God as our cells are to our bodies. As such we are Divine entities and thus never really die. This may sound a bit far out for some of my readers, but bear with me for a moment.

We are all created from the same Intelligence that creates the sun, moon, stars and planets. We are all created from the very stuff and body of God, that stuff we call "energy". This energy cannot be created or destroyed - only transformed from one form to another. Water may be ice, water, steam, or etheric vapor but it is still H2O. Thus we move from one state of being to another.

This state of being we are experiencing in a physical body we call life and we say we are alive. In truth we have always been alive, in one state or another. Can you imagine how the soul comes to animate a body? How is this accomplished? Is it a Divine Lottery? What would a body be without a soul? Nothing but a bag of water and chemicals. How are souls matched with bodies? I do not know the answer to this question, I can only tell you what my inner voice tells me. I am told by the God within me that we are paired with the body born to the parents and enviornment that we need to do the soul work that we choose to do at this time and place.

What do I mean by soul work? I mean that our immortal soul evolves as does all life. It does this through various experiences in physical form and other forms unknown to humanity at this time. The experiences it is given are designed to teach and grow the soul in the way that it needs to grow in order to learn to love unconditionally, which is the purpose of our soul's evolution. These lessons are sometimes pleasant in human eyes and sometimes very unpleasant to human ways of thinking. Remember, the soul is eternal; 80 years of tough lessons is less than a blink of an eye to the soul but worth it if a great lesson can be learned for all time or a great wrong righted.

Our soul's mission is to experience a return to God from which the soul came. To do this, it must learn the essence of God which is unconditional love. Love is God's very nature. Love is in every facet of God's Mind. In order to be One with that Mind, we must learn to live on a diet of pure love, something not one of us can do at this point in time.

Yes, even Jesus had his human failings but far less than the rest of humanity which is why we honor him as a man touched by Divinity while still in human form. To love unconditionally is almost beyond human comprehension. It means to see the Greater Good even when great sacrifices in life must be made. It means to do the hard thing, the hardest thing we can conceive of - in order that humanity and the Universe may advance and prosper. It means to see things from a Cosmic perspective, not a human one.

This kind of love takes many, many eons of soul work of the most intense kind. This is the purpose of our lives - to grow into Oneness with God. To rejoin the Father and Mother.

Leave your fear of dying behind today. You will never die. You will experience many lives and many worlds but you will not die. You will spend milennia as pure Spirit where you will travel at the speed of thought and create with a Word. You will experience, think and know but you will not always feel. That is for the times in physical form. No matter what state you find yourself in, you will live for all eternity. Your personality, your sense of self will undergo changes as your form and state of being changes, but you will know that you are alive and that you are you.

My dear friends, you are eternal expressions of the eternal God, the Father of all that exists, ever has existed or ever will exist. Cherish your days here, but do not fear you cannot really die. Just as the fetus in its mother's womb must believe that it is dying when it is forced into the birth canal, only to find a new beginning, so your "death" is only another birth into another and more wonderful state of being. A new life, perhaps a bit like this one and perhaps in another form, another time and another place. Who can say for sure, until we go through that re-birthing process we call death.

My friends, I have been called dead twice and I KNOW and have seen that this is not the end. I was given the choice to remain here and finish my work or move on. I made the very hard choice to stay but I have seen what lies on the other side and I tell you it is magnificent and so very hard to turn away from. You will have souls who have loved you for all time there to greet you and care for you in this transition. Fear not, you are cared for, you are loved beyond your comprehension.
